Can you get your hair cut & styled . . . at the Aveda Institute . . . by a ROCKETTE . . . for $20 . . . and LOVE it!!!!!

The Aveda Institute is actually a teaching school, so you get your hair cut by students. I hit the lottery when I got the (totally sweet, normal looking) girl I had been eyeing and praying she would come for me (instead of say, the asian guy with the foot high mohawk)! She couldn't have been nicer & we chatted the entire 2 hours (I know, a little lengthy for a haircut, but I actually get mine cut so rarely, it's a treat for me & I don't mind it lasting a long time). Come to find out, Traci (my fabulous stylist's name) is a dancer FOR THE ROCKETTES! As they only preform 3 mos. out of the year, the Rockettes pay for them to get any type of education they want (other than dance) during the off months, so she chose hair. Coincidentally, it was actually her last day there - she graduates tomorrow. She was fascinating - she danced for Royal Caribbean right out of high school on a 5 mos. contract in the Mediterranean & then moved to the city when she was only 18 to pursue dance. She's been a Rockette ever since! So, I definitely got her card & will be calling her up when it's time for a trim.

Love it, love it, love it!!! Your hair looks fab! So glad your first NYC hair-cutting experience was a good one :)
Very cute Katy! Love the bangs - you probably hear this a lot, but you look so much like your mom with your dark hair and porcelain complexion! Glad you got the "normal" stylists...you can't beat 20 bucks!!
What a fun experience! And a great cut to boot. I love the bangs. Miss you guys horribly- can't wait until November.
