No, not the real estate company, NYC's #1 Discount Store (think, TJMaxx, Ross, etc. only 5x the size and 100x the craziness). Chris has been in the market for some new brown loafers, so we headed to this downtown superstore. Fortunately, the quest for the perfect brown loafer has now come to an end! And, lucky for me, we picked up a few other items while we were there! There was this precious doormat I just couldn't pass up . . .

These kitchen items to help supplement our sparse supplies (though, while posting this, I just had the novel idea that a normal sized cookie sheet may not fit in our NYC sized oven - hmmm, I better check that really quick - nope, it doesn't fit - excellent, I guess I'm still in the market for a cookie sheet). Anyways, everything else is really cool - especially the silicon loaf pan - I used it to heat something up in the oven for lunch & it was amazing! Absolutely nothing sticks to it.

And then there is the precious dish towel, oven mitt & apron. I can honestly say I needed the oven mitt & towel (and they were a great buy at $2 & $3 each). Now I know, the apron is a little bit of a stretch, but it was just so adorable & completed the set (and, it was only $14 as opposed to it's retail price of $61.60) . And what can I say, after my traumatic kitchen experience earlier in the week, I needed a little kitchen cheerfulness! Here is the apron from Kitsch'n Glam - they have some super cute stuff there!
Oh - and in other exciting news - we now have roof access! I can't wait to have some friends over & eat supper up there! What a life =).

Ya' know,...I have never owned an apron out of fear of looking "matronly", but those aprons are down-right sexy!! I may have to look in to buying one! :) How fun that you guys are going to have access to your roof - I'm thinking of the movie...ooohh..what's it called?..Bed of Roses?...or something like that! Also, can I just say how impressed I am with you guys for just jumpin' right in to the NYC culture - I can tell ya'll are soakin' up your time there and trying to see all you can see! It took Chad and I several months to adjust to Savannah before we were comfortable enough to start sight seeing - you guys obviousely adapt quicker than we do! :) Oh yeah - and I'll send you that website address soon!
Mom and Dad would love the roof-top experience in a couple of weeks. :) Your apron and towels really brighten up your kitchen and your doormat has Katy Ann written all over it. The colors reflect your positive, cheerful personality. The condo is looking more like a home and I'm excited about seeing you and Chris soon.
Love you-Mom
Love the pics from the roof and love all your new items from Century 21. You have a knack for finding cute aprons (like the one you found at the antique store for Leah). I'd love to shop at Century 21 when we come to visit!
