Once a month Manhattan Church combines the English & Spanish services for a united bilingual service. Today was such a service & it was really cool singing songs in both English & Spanish! The church is really interesting in that it's so diverse! Even though the church itself is located in the richest zipcode in America (and consequently, perhaps the world), there are definitely people from all different walks of life.
We also met another great couple this morning - Casey & Jenny from Oklahoma. They attended Oklahoma Christian, were married the same summer as Chris & me, and Casey is also studying Tax Law at NYU. Exciting, huh!? It was great getting to compare notes with Casey on our NYU experiences thus far & Jenny & I enjoyed talking about all the transitions of big city living. After church we went out with the young adults group to lunch - even though several people couldn't come, there were 12 of us, which was awesome! It's such a blessing to be connected to a great group of young Christians.

How wonderful that you were able to attend such a unique worship service (and how wonderful that, since you speak spanish, you actually knew what you were singing). When we went to Honduras, we could sing bits and pieces of the songs in spanish, but had no clue what the words meant. After services, Tony (or a spanish-speaking member of our group) would have to translate for us.
We missed you guys today, but are looking forward to spending time with you at Thanksgiving. Glad you had such a wonderful weekend. Love you bunches!
Sound like you are having so many unique experiences while in the "Big City". We missed you this weekend. Thanks for keeping in touch. I love you!
