Well, the bad news is I never did get around to getting any more Christmas in New York shots, but you've probably figured that out by now! The good news is it's a new year full of endless possibilities! I must say that with LSU's victory over Ohio State, 2008 is off to a promising start.
You know, it's really a strange feeling when you return to the city after being away for an extended period of time! But it's also a good thing - everything that had become so routine is exciting and impressive again. While today was just spent catching up on bills, laundry, & other domestic unpleasantries, tonight is pure indulgence - washing down plain cheese pizza from Famous Ben's of Soho with Diet Pepsi (the only non-condiment currently in our fridge) while watching the 2 hour season premier of One Tree Hill. Oh, life's guilty pleasures! And to think, I had complained to Chris just a few weeks ago that I was tired of Ben's, the blasphemy! Never mind that Fresh Direct's delivery schedule is full until Friday and a trip to Walmart while on break shocked me back into awareness of what the rest of the world pays for consumables . . . it's good to be back!

Wasn't that a great football game?!!! I thought I was going to be sick during the first 5 or 6 minutes, but after that, I was thrilled! Geaux tigers!
I'm really glad you're happy to be back in NYC. If everything seems new and exciting to you after just being gone a few weeks, I can't imagine how new and exciting it's going to be for me in a month and a half, especially since I've never been there. Payton and I are really looking forward to coming up to visit!
Love you and hope you have a great week!
I'm so glad you are back in New York safe and sound. It was a blessing to me to spend time with you and Chris over the holidays and thanks for all your help setting up for the LSU party--wish you could have been there with us to celebrate. :) Love you-Mom
Wow...I remember the days when our fridge was empty except for all the condiments - I actually smiled when I read that all you had was Diet Pepsi in your fridge...and yes...my stomach is now grumbling after reading that ya'll ate pizza....I'm thinkin' we'll be having some take-out tonight! :) Neways, I realize the main point of your post wasn't about what was in your refrigerator - sorry!!! Glad ya'll had a merry Christmas and that you're gettin' back in the swing of things!
