One word describes our weekend . . . . BRRRrrrrrrr! Even though this is the coldest weekend we've spent in NY to date, we had the grand idea that Saturday would be a fabulous day to explore Brooklyn's Prospect Park, have a lovely little picnic & take in some ice skating. What were we thinking!? It was so cold! And really, I don't mind the cold as long as I'm not outside . . . walking around . . . for a good 3 HOURS! For real. But, we had a great time nonetheless! After an endless morning & early afternoon in the park, we met up w/ Ryan & Cassie for an afternoon movie (at the coolest old theater) & an evening of fun and games in good ole Bed-Stuy (also in Brooklyn).
While we were there, we thought, hey, why not go to the Botanical Gardens, in the dead of winter . . .

Thanks for the update! ;) You are brave to be outside for so long!!
I am glad you got outside this weekend. Although it was cold, the park looked very peaceful. The picture of Chris on the picnic blanket was really cute. Hope to see some snow pictures soon.
Stay warm and healthy. I love you--Mom
