Orientation

So we finally get to something actually relevant to why we are in New York in the first place - school! I had my first real day of Orientation today, and it went really well. I met some nice people & every encounter I have had with the NYU Administration has been really impressive. The first person I met today was a lady from upstate New York, probably in her early 40s. She has been a Financial Advisor for the past 15 years. She has a JD, MBA, LLM (concentration in International Law - from Columbia), and is now getting her LLM in Tax from NYU! Quite a list, huh!? Her name is Cathy. The other person I'll mention is a girl named Kelly (late 20s) who I met on my way out from our first session. She is married, originally from St. Pete, FL, attended UF undergrad, and is concentrating in Estate Planning! She came to NYU via Los Angeles where she attended law school at UCLA and then practiced for a few years before deciding to get her LLM in Tax. Cool huh?! It's nice to finally know a few people!

Thank you for blogging. My prayers are being answered for God's provisions and protection. I'm so thankful that our Lord has, once again, provided for you and Chris. Your apartment looks great, and the entrance table is fab. How wonderful for you to meet friends on the first day. I love you-Mom

Horray for my sister becoming a blogger!!! I'm so glad you're on here and that I'll now be able to keep up with what you and Chris are up to in NYC. I'm putting you on my blogroll right now!
How wonderful that you're enjoying your new place. It really does look awesome--very Katy-like :) Love you bunches!

So glad you've come over to the "dark side" of blogging!! I'm so envious of you guys getting to live up in NYC for a couple of years! Oh, think of all the fun things you'll get to do throughout the year! Christmas at Rockefeller, dinner and shows....*sigh*. Your apartment looks really great...it kinda reminds me of my apartment in g-ville the last two years i lived there, 'cause it had the spiral staircase w/a loft as well. (Only the view wasn't as cool!)
Take care!
