Well, I am officially a NYU student! Today was my first day of classes (class really, as I had only one). Even more important in becoming a true NYU student - I FINALLY GOT MY STUDENT ID!!!! Lol - that had been a huge hassle because somehow, even though I've been married for over 3 years now, and applied in my married name, everything ended up in my maiden name at NYU. Seriously - I am never getting married again =). But, it's all straightened out now, I have and ID & all the privileges that entails (the most important of which is being able to get into the buildings where my classes are w/out explaining why I don't have an ID & presenting my acceptance letter & Driver's License).
As for class, it was good! I was nervous that everyone there would be tax geniuses, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Example - we were discussing a concept in class today & the Professor asks if this were your take on the issue, who would agree with you? Well, we had just read a series of cases decided by the Supreme Court handing down that very interpretation. Anyways, a couple of people said random things that were wrong, and then there was silence. I knew the answer was the Supreme Court, but am not a big hand-raiser (with Law Professors, you never know when they're going to entrap you with the easy question & then unmercifully throw zingers at you for the rest of the class since you volunteered). Anyways, the Professor finally provided that it would be the Supreme Court & with that I breathed a sigh of relief! Maybe I'll make it yet!

Horray for getting a student ID :) Seriously though, I'm really glad you enjoyed your first day of class. You're going to do great! I'm so proud of you and Chris. Hope your Bible study goes well tonight.
