Happy New Year

New Year's Eve was a much needed relaxing afternoon and evening spent at home.  Chris' flight back from P.C. arrived into Newark around 10:30, but unfortunately he didn't make it home by midnight.  I was just watching tv when I realized it was 11:59.  So, I turned it to NBC just in time to watch the countdown.  As the ball reached the bottom, I noticed beautiful fireworks going off right outside my window.  Then, I realized that behind those, in the distance, you could see the fireworks in New Jersey as well.  A few seconds after that, I realized I that out the other window, I could see the Brooklyn fireworks show.  I was so excited and happy to be enjoying such a beautiful show (while sitting in my pjs on the couch and drinking hot chocolate), but sad that Chris wasn't here to share.  So, I got out the camera so that we could share it when he got home.  Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as we did!

Thanks for the firework display. What an exciting and relaxing way to bring in the New Year. Looking forward to 2009 and the time we get to spend with you and Chris!

how cool that you go to watch all three fireworks displays from your living room! definitely beats hanging out in zero-degree weather to watch the ball drop in times square! hope you have a wonderful 2009, too. Love you!

I'm glad I had stood right at those windows in your apartment and could picture what that was like for you!
Beautiful, I'm sure!

Happy New Year to you and Chris! Praying God blesses you both with contentment and joy in everything and with everyone you come in contact with this year.
