It's GILBERT BLYTHE - the first true love of my life (except of course for the part in the movie where Morgan Harris proposes - their love affair is just so romantic, he sweeps me off my feet every time and for a moment I forget my undying devotion to Gilbert)! Well, his real name is Jonathan Crombie AND, I actually saw him on broadway, though I didn't know it at the time. He plays "Man in the Chair" in The Drowsy Chaperone, which Chris & I saw with my parents last weekend. Though it is hard for me to imagine him as anyone other than Gilbert, the fact that I was in his presence feels like a little piece of my childhood fantasy came true! Probably a good thing I didn't know it at the time though, I so would have had to stalk him after the show!

Oh, how you loved Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea! I can not even begin to try and count the number of times you watched those movies! How exciting that you got to see Gilbert Blythe in person! One of your childhood dreams has now been fulfilled :)
