And having a really good time! With the Calhouns, it was cool to experience the city like a child - how 3 blocks is an eternity and the ultimate city experiences are the American Girl Place and the Nintendo Store =p. The funniest phrase of their trip was Andrea saying to Madison - "Just because we did what you wanted to do first [go to the American Girl store] does not mean we're going to sit around in the hotel for the rest of the week brushing doll hair!" Lol! Though, I must admit, the kids were troopers and Andrea & Mrs. Sylvia got around like locals. Of course, it's always a delight to have my parents here. It was so much fun to see my dad experience Yankee stadium (even if it was during a monsoon) and to shop at Macy's with my mom (the largest department store in the world - her eyes just lit up!). Another highlight was our wonderful evening dining at The Water Club on the East River as the sun went down. Our current visitors are first timers - Grammy Jean & Paw-Paw and even at their age, they are genuinely amazed by the city sights. And, I must say, I've been so impressed by how they have gotten around. They drove by themselves yesterday from Atlantic City straight to our apartment in Soho and then back out to their hotel in New Jersey. Today, they took the bus in and out of Manhattan. We also did a double decker bus tour, and at about 72 degrees, it was the perfect day for it! We hopped off at the World Trade Center site to see St. Paul's Chapel and Ground Zero. And again at South Seaport where we took the Staten Island Ferry round trip (great views of the Statue of Liberty). After that, we took the bus back up to midtown and got out at the Waldorf Astoria (which they were so excited to tour) and walked down Park Avenue to Grand Central Station. From there it was back to the Port Authority where they caught their bus back to New Jersey. That's quite a day for two great-grandparents - huh!? I am so thankful to have such wonderful family & friends!!
Mom & me at Broadway in Bryant Park - we got to see numbers from the new musical 13, Young Frankenstein, Grease, Legally Blonde, and Rent
Dad, Mom & Chris at the Yankees game - it POURED, but we weren't about to miss out on seeing a game during the last season played at Yankee Stadium
When the started removing the tarp, we knew it was a good sign!!!!

Justin wants to go back to NYC and I'm sure seeing Paw Paw's pics won't help.
I LOVE U!!!!
I loved looking at all your pictures. It looks like Garrett and Maddie had a great time! You're so sweet to show them around the city. It also looks like Grammy and Paw Paw are enjoying their tour of NY. I can't wait to talk to them Friday and hear all about their trip. Love you!
