It's Finally August

I'm officially one week into life post-Bar Exam. I'd love to say that it's glorious, but really, it's kind of annoying. We won't get results until mid-November, which some people like, but is just thoroughly annoying to me - I'd rather know my fate right away! So, I spend a lot of my day trying to refocus my mind off of one overriding what-if scenario. The other half of my day I spend trying to convince myself to stop compulsively obsessing over our new apartment. I'm a planner through and through, so I want to know what's going where in every inch of that apartment. And of course, NY apartments are never big enough, so such thought processes never lead to anything good. For these reasons, I am incredibly grateful that we will have company most of the rest of the month leading up to our move!

Chris' sister, Corey, and her friend, Tara, were here last Friday til Monday. We had a lot of fun! My favorite parts of their trip were dinner at Spice Market in the Meatpacking District (pictured below) and shopping downtown. Corey & Tara are quite the home decorators & I am so looking forward to their help with our new apartment! Next up on the visitor schedule is Andrea, Mrs. Sylvia, Madison and Garrett who get in Saturday. Then, my parents arrive the following Tuesday. Then, two days after my parents leave, my grandparents get in town! So, August is going to be a great month for us!

I'm glad it is August and I'm counting the days until I can give you and Chris a big hug and kiss-----(4). It will be fun to see your new apartment and sad to know I will not be in your old one after this visit. Memories. Love you lots--Your Mom

It's so funny that you mentioned that Kristy and I look alike, because we get that ALL THE TIME...since high school. And, it seems to have increased lately. LOL! Thanks!

Oh, and I can't believe you have to wait until November to get your results. I am sure you did great but I know that feeling of waiting...the worst.

That restaurant looks amazing! What a treat :) Love the pics of the Calhouns that Chris put on his Flicker acct.
Hope you're having a lot of fun in NY with all your company. Miss you and love you bunches.
